Ratbone Rat Terrier Rescues operates solely on donations. All donations are tax deductible because we are a 501C organization. Every little bit helps us to save ratties and keep them health until they find their furever homes.

Donate

Every rat terrier deserves to be treated with love and live a life pain free. Your generous donations will help us provide loving and healthy environments for our ratties until they find a furever home. This could include initial vetting, surgeries, collars, leashes, food or even heartworm treatment. Often we rescue dogs and have no idea if they are harboring a medical condition. We must help these dogs recover their best lives in order to be adopted. It costs us on average approximately $300 to vet a new rescue and surgeries could cost as much as $5,000!

Ratbone Rat Terrier Rescue is appreciative of any donations given to the rescue. There are several ways to make a financial donation or you could even donate your time with applications or a home visit. You could also donate supplies. Coming soon will be links to our wish lists for Chewy and Amazon

It was the first time in 20 years that I didn’t have any fur babies (I’d had cats before them) and I didn’t think I wanted anymore because I was so heartbroken. But then, six months later I found Snookie and she was really the love of my life! We were inseparable from the moment I got her home ~ I had to say goodbye to her on 12/15/2023 because she was in kidney failure. I miss her every single day ~ well, here I am with tears in my eyes ~ lol. Sometimes I think about adopting another one from you ~ I look at the adoptable dogs and there’s so many who need furever homes ~ perhaps before long!

I just wanted to write in to say how much my family and I love Ratbone Rescue and how much you guys have meant to us over the years. Almost 20 years ago we adopted our first Rat terrier from Ratbone, Charlie, and he was with us until the end of his days- the sweetest dog in the world! 2 years ago, my husband and I adopted spunky and lovable “Rex” who we now call Muffin, and he has become an integral part of our family and is absolutely my fur baby! We appreciate you all so much for all you do for this wonderful breed and hope to continue to see you grow and rescue more awesome ratties throughout the years!

My partner and I adopted Tulip in September of 2024. We have always had dogs and cats, loving each one of them seemingly more than anything else in the world. However Tulip has changed our life. Tulip is the sweetest, happiest, most loving being we have ever known. Tulip has been a light in our life since day one and we have Ratbone Rescues to thank for that. After trying to find an honest and caring for months I came across Ratbone and immediately fell in love with the entire organization. The process was smooth and had the best interest of the animals at heart. We will forever love and continue to rescue from Ratbone.

My husband I and I have been blessed to have adopted two beautiful boys from RatBones Rat Terrier Rescue. The first was my sweet and highly intelligent and handsome Harry. Although cancer took him in spite of every measure we took, he is never forgotten. We were next blessed to adopt Randy (formerly Rambo) in 2016. He's still the sweetest, best little guy ever. We adore him. RTR has the best rescue ratties out there. Perfectly vetted, socialized and loved - all of them ready for their new homes.

We have been adopting from Ratbone for almost 20 years. Our first baby was Dayzee Mae (mostly all black) who we adopted when she was about 6 months old. She was such a crazy, special girl. When she was 8 years old we decided she needed a sibling to keep her young so we then adopted our sweet little Sadie Kay is now 11 and still going strong. Our sweet Dayzee crossed Rainbow Bridge when she was 15 years old. We already knew we wanted Sadie to have a sibling so we then adopted Gracie May (tricolor). ... It has been so nice being able to adopt from a professional, loving rescue group. Thank you for all you do.
